Hotel Lapad first opened its doors in 1914 and thus became one of the oldest hotels in the Dubrovnik region. The Ðordevic family originally owned the castle with a chapel which the people of Dubrovnik called Piccola Venezia. The castle was then bought by the Austrian architect Wilhelm Lerh and converted into a hotel with 73 beds. The original name of the hotel was Weisses Schloss, on request of the owner, but then because of the revolt of the public, it was changed to White Castle. The hotel got its final name, Hotel Lapad, at the end of the First World War I in 1920. During this period, the hotel had its own fleet of vehicles and for two drivers available to guests.

Upon entering the hotel the view of the magnificent Victorian facade of the superior wing will catch your attention. Inside the stone beauty are placed superior rooms with views of the beautiful gardens and rooms and apartments with views of Gruz bay. Earth tones dominate the design of the wing where we have successfully achieved a combination of the past and the contemporary.
